Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 June 2026

These terms set out the rules for using STEM EDU. Please read them carefully — by using the Service you agree to them.

1. Who we are

STEM EDU (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an online learning platform with interactive lessons aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0, aimed at homeschooling families educating children from Foundation to Year 6. By creating an account or using the site (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Who may use the Service

Accounts are intended for parents, guardians and educators aged 18 or over. The lessons are designed for children, but a responsible adult must create and manage the account. If you set up the Service for a child, you are responsible for supervising their use and for everything done under your account.

3. Your account

We use passwordless sign-in: you give us an email address and we send a one-time magic link. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, as anyone with the link can sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Memberships and payments

You can preview lessons for free. Full access requires a membership, billed through our payment processor, Stripe. We currently offer a monthly plan (A$14.95 per month) and a one-time lifetime plan (A$250). Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

  • Monthly memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your profile; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • The lifetime plan grants access for the operational lifetime of the Service for a single one-time payment.
  • We may change pricing for future billing periods; any change will be shown before it applies to you.

5. Refunds

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a payment was made in error or the Service is faulty, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to put it right.

6. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Copy, resell, redistribute or publicly share the lesson content except for your own household's educational use.
  • Share your account or magic-link with people outside your household.
  • Attempt to access the Service in ways that bypass previews, paywalls or security, or that disrupt the platform for others.
  • Use the Service for anything unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights.

7. Our content and curriculum

All lessons, text, graphics and software on the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for educating the children in your household while your account is active.

Our lessons are aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0 as a guide for families. We are an independent service and are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or acting on behalf of ACARA or any government body. You remain responsible for meeting the home-education requirements of your state or territory.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, lessons or these terms over time. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending your access

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms. You can cancel a monthly membership whenever you like; see the Refunds section above for amounts already paid.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
